Happy New Year!!

I just love this time of year… a fresh start for everything!  Clean slate…  I am sure I am not the only one that makes New Year Resolutions… many don't believe in them, but I do.  I think having goals in mind and things to accomplish makes me more accountable and helps me make better choices!  (Even if it is for a couple of months!!  ) Hahahahahahaha

This year, SVGCutting files really got me off to a great start for the New Year!  Such fun cut files to play with, and so many to choose from right now.

To go with my New Year theme, (working out more) I made these adorable 5lb dumbbells.  They don't actually weigh 5 lbs… but they sure look like real weights!

I filled them with gum balls…A set will look great on my desk at work which will be a reminder I need to do some strength training!!

Toy Soldier Treat Boxes

OK… could these get any cuter??  Seriously, what an easy box to put together in a hurry!  I found this cut FREE at SVGCuts and literally whipped up two in no time at all…  the boxes are pretty deep, so a nice gift will fit just nicely inside.  ( Sometimes thebox is too big and you spend more money filling it or its too small and nothing fits in except a few candy kisses) so this one was just right!!

Santa Pants

Does it get cuter than this?  I don't think so… This cut comes from SVG Cuts and it was a FREE file for their customers!  Merry Christmas!!  This cut was my favorite in the bunch… Santa Pants.  So fun to put together, once you get everything cut out that is…

I made this for a friend at work, I needed something cute to put her gift in, and well… it doesnt' get cuter!  Hahahahaha… One could get carried away with embellishments on this one, but it really doesn't need much!

I am putting some small gifts inside, but the legs are deep, so you could put bottles of wine inside each leg or a a bottle and a pretty wine glass, or tall items, or you could stuff the legs with tissue paper, like I did and place items on top!

I didn't get a lot of Christmas items done this year, I have a couple more to post, but I have been so dang busy, and sick, I haven't had much time to "play."  Merry Christmas everyone!!

Trainer Treats

OK… I will admit that this is cute!!  I bought the file at SVGcutting files.  I fell in love with it the moment I saw it, as I too am a Personal Trainer and I work in the fitness industry.
I made these two treat boxes for my Hubby's trainers!  I put in two Quest protein bars along with a gift Card to Chipotle and Voila!!

Check out that cute stamp!!  (Jaded Blossom) I made another one for my Hubby, but I need to get a gift card for it so I will post it a little later… What do you think?

Elf on the Shelf

I had some fun with the Elf this year!  Its only me and my hubby, so I thought it would be fun to get the Elf and taunt my hubby… it was fun until we both got sick.  I put the elf in a bottle of protein powder and he hasn't had any for a couple of weeks… I hope he finds the Elf soon…

I made these darling Elfs from SVGCuts.  He was so much fun to put together… tiny little parts, but I swear he looks just like the Elf on the Shelf, Elf… right?

I made them to use as bag toppers, well, I intended them to go on something else, but that didn't work, so yes, bag toppers, and they were perfect.

The bag is filled with a pair of fluffy soft socks and a bottle of lotion… inexpensive gift, but add the bag the topper and the ELF… and it made for a really nice gift presentation…right??

Christmas Cards

It is tough to find time to craft when Hubby is home!!  He had elbow surgery a month ago, and therefore, he is home on the weekends now as opposed to golfing every weekend… I lose all creativity when he is home!
I was able to get a few things done, but not near as much as I wanted to do before Christmas, but Hubby was given the go-ahead to start swinging clubs again, so I think its going to be a crafting New Years!!
Here are a couple of Christmas cards I managed to cut and put together… Snow globes!  They turned out kind of cute… I got the file free from My Scrapchick… such cute things on her site!  I made them into cards, and used plastic on the front to give it a "glass-like" ball.  What do you think?

Harvest Crate

I loved this the minute I saw the file for it... so rustic and old fashioned I think.  I bought the file from SVGCuts, and couldn't wait to make it!
I went plain on the papers, as I really just wanted a "crate."  I put it together using my glue gun, which I think held it nice and tight...and then I embellished it with silk leaves and bow.  What do you think?

I made it as a "Thank You" for my neighbors who watched my fur babies while I was away last weekend!   Filled it with thei favorite candy and gift cards... I have the best neighbors!!

As always, thanks for looking...

Bucket List

Everyone has a "bucket-list!"  Things and places we want to see and do before its too late!!!  I really have to think about a few of them, I want them to be somewhat realistic, not just a dream that will never come true-- like hang-gliding-- something I always thought I wanted to do... but I would no more jump off a cliff these days than jump to the moon!!  So I will give it some thought, and write them down and then make them happen!!

It just so happens, that one I have had on my "list" for quite some time- 5 years to be exact- is to run the Nike Women's Marathon in San Francisco!!  I have entered the lottery each and every year, and this was my YEAR!!  Feeling very blessed to be running a race that every woman wants to run-just once!!  Running it Oct 20, 2013!!

#1 reason:  Finish line!!!  It is lined with Firemen handing out little "blue boxes!" ( Tiffany)  C'mon... even if you are not a runner... you would want to experience this... right???

Well, I found this darling cut on Pinterest.  Lots of cute things found Here.   "My Bucket List"  What's on your Bucket List??

Clipboard Fun

I love clipboards and use one everyday at work!  I found some clear ones, and thought, "Perfect" for a vinyl project!!  Crazy how my mind goes right to crafting so quickly!

I found this cute cut on-line at the Silhouette Store, and thought it would be "Perfect" for my clipboard.   I added some fun ribbon for color and its all set!!  ( I almost hate to cover it up with paper!)  Hahahaha

PPPR Guest Designer

Very excited to have been chosen to Guest Design for ... Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons blog... Her files are so easy to put together as they fit just right, it makes your final project look like you spent hours and hours putting them together!!

I had so much fun, I made a couple of super cute things to show off today... I used the Halloween Critters Cutting files for my projects today.

I went "batty" with this card, isn't he cute?  He kind of came to life in my craft room, as I created him late at night, so to take the scare out of... me, I added a bow!  Hahaha... He is just perfect for a fun-sized candy bar inside!

Next up is the "goofy" ghost.  I absolutely love him.
I cut him out of glitter paper and using dimensionals I made his eyes "pop!"
I embossed the holder with a haunted house folder... I think it turned out amazing!
I put him on a round container I made so I could put a koozie inside of it.
I put a smaller ghost cut out of vinyl on the foam koozie and Voila!!  Perfect for gift giving...
Last but not least... check out these "Silly Spiders!!!"

I love glass blocks lit up at night... and what an awesome Halloween treat this would be for the little-ones that Trick O' Treat at my front door??
I used the spider web as the background and then added Mr. and Mrs. Spider to join the festivities.  I loved the colors and if you look really close, you can see their fangs...( I kept telling everyone, spiders have fangs!!!)  Hahahaha...
Thank you Lisa, for the opportunity to show off your files... they are so much fun to work with and your files help me look like a genius!!  Visit Pretty Paper, Pretty Ribbons to purchase these fun files and so many, many more!

Decorative lantern

Love this lantern!!  It could be used for ANY occasion!  I chose Halloween, of course!!

I think choosing paper is the hardest part for me, and I wanted something with color, but not obnoxious.  I cut the velum and ran it through my cuttlebug using the "spider web" which I thought was kind of fun!

It needed something, so I made bow using the Bow-dabra, and hot glued it to the top.  It still needed something, so I added plastic spiders which was perfect!

These would make wonderful party decorations- for almost any occasion.  I am not sure I would want to put a ton together, maybe I was just too tired.  I'll make another one, just for fun!!

The cut is from SVGCuts.
Battery operated tea light inside!!

Harvest basket

OK... if there is anything better than a caramel apple, I don't know what it would be???  Check out this darling little basket for just that, a caramel apple or something like that... this cut is from SVGcuts, and I fell in love with this little bushell basket.

Pretty simple to put together, as it goes together quickly.  I think next time I would use a pretty ribbon to go around it.  I got lazy and glued silk leaves to the basket to add some dimension, but once you throw the caramel coated apple goody inside, I don't think you need any distraction from that... right?  Hahahahahahaha   Enjoy!!

She's got legs...

Darling card!   So easy to put together, yet, it looks like I spent hours on it!   Well, I did take some time choosing paper, and I was limited on Halloween paper, so I used what I had in my stash... What do you think?  Sending this one to my mom... Cut is from SVGcuts.

Skeleton Dance

My mom had the cutest Halloween decorations growing up, and I think I would rather decorate for Halloween than Christmas...I remember a 6 ft skeleton with movable parts we would hang on the door every year.  He got so used, he was pretty much put together with scotch tape, but he was my favorite decoration.  Trust me, when I saw this cut from SVGcuts, I knew I would have to buy the kit!

He was super simple to put together.  I used small brads, which left him very "loose" so I bought bigger brads, and now he poses any way I like!  Lots of fun!  I think he would be cute as a "she" and add a hat or boa, or something decorative.  I like him simple, similar to the one my mom let us play with every year.  ( Mine isn't as big!)  Hahahaha

Nail polish box

OK... this one is not Cricut or Cameo, but a template I found on Pinterest... darling!!  So very easy to create, and would make a great party favor or a nice little Thank You!!

I found the template here.  Such a cute blog and great instructions!!  Thank you!  I Love Pinterest!

I made a few... but I loved the Dr. Seuss paper... and figured, I could use these occasion... what do you think?
