Mother's Day Card

I made a Mother's Day card for my mom... I have been wanting to make a banner card for some time, and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity!  When you ask my mom what she would like for any holiday, she always says, she just wants a card!  She is so easy to please...I best get it in the mail!!

Baby door hanger

I just bought a new laminating machine, and I want to laminate everything!!!  So I made this cute little baby hanger to attach to a gift for a baby shower I am attending at work, and thought this would be perfect laminated!!
I used the door hanger from Tie the Knot and then used New Arrival for the moon...  kind of cute...?  A quick gift tag for sure!!!

Gone Running...

As you may already know, I love running...I enjoy the freedom it gives me as well as the time to clear my head.  These types of running clocks are very popular!  The popular one costs $5.00 to buy!  How cheap am I... that I think I could make my own cheaper!  Well, the paper didn't cost me anything...but the time it took to make these was more than $5.00!!!  Hahaha... These are certainly original!

I used Graphically Speaking- a cartridge I had to have and never used.. as well as Sports Mania for the runner!  I love that cut!!  I laminated the clocks and hands for durability.  I run during my lunch hour and I thought this would be fun to put at my desk while I'm out...Hahaha  I think I'll give the other one to a friend.  Gotta Run!!  :)

Mother's Day Corsage

Well, the main reason I bought the Flower Shoppe Cartridge was to make my Mother a corsage this year for Mother's Day.  The last several years, I have sent my mom a corsage for Mother's Day, as she wears it to church that day.  I want her to know that even though I am not there, that she is very much loved that day and every day of the year!

So this year, I thought I would make her one that doesn't get tossed the next day- although I am pretty sure she keeps its for longer than a day!  I cut out the flowers from the FS cart and hot glued them together on top of a pretty white ribbon.  I used white and pink paper, put pearls in the pink roses.  I was going to buy silk greens to put behind it, but I couldn't find any I liked so I made my own as well and embossed them, and I am glad I did, as they were the right size!

***  Sizes for the flowers:  I cut the scalloped flower, 3 of those at 6" ( of course, rolling them they come out a little different sized each one, and then I cut the other little flowers at 3"-4".  I played with the sizes, depending on how big or small you want your corsage.  I cut the leaves at 1-3/4" and then just placed them behind the flowers.  I used my Bowdabra to make the bow, and then I hot glued the flowers onto the ribbon, and to finish the back so it wasn't a bit hot glue mess, I made another ribbon and glued to the back.***  I hope all this makes sense, please feel free to contact me with questions!

I wanted to give them to her in a "corsage box" so I cut one using the treasure chest from Sweet Treat cartridge, added a ribbon and placed some pretty pins in there as well.
They don't smell as pretty, but they will last longer than a day or two, and my Mother will love it, because I made it for her.  She loves homemade things, and I don't think it gets anymore homemade than this... Hahahahaha

My mom is my very best friend in the whole wide world!!!  She is the reason I craft as I watched her make so many things by hand and give them away... I love you MOM!!!

Book markers

I made one of these Bookmarks last year, and just started using it, as I am studying from a pretty big book right now!!  Bookmarks, are kind of a thing of the past since the Kindle and other electronic readers.  But, when I opened my book marked page, I got a few compliments on how cute it was... and that made me of course, want to make another one!  ( Funny, how that is...) So without a plan in mind, I found some really pretty butterfly paper and decided to make a "Butterfly bookmark!"  So very simple and easy, these would make cute little gifts!  (It may make me read my book more...) Hahahaha...Thanks for looking!  Here is the link to the one I made last year...Corner BookMark

Easter Baskets

Using TBBM2 I cut the Easter basket at 5"- the biggest you can cut it using the single cut!  You can get two on a 12x12 sheet of paper.  I had it envisioned a little bigger, but these turned out cute.  They would make a cute spring treat for someone.  I used the Easter cartridge and cut out the Easter bunny... I have no idea what I can put in them.  Once, I fill with some grass, it doesn't leave much room for many treats!  Maybe, one will be for my Hubby, and I will put some dark chocolate and a lottery ticket in it!  He doesn't need more than that...right?  Hahahhahaha..Thanks for looking!  Happy Easter!!

Chicken "Fry"

Well, these turned out cuter than I thought... I cut the Chick from Create a Critter and used my new Peachy Keen Stamps- Wide Eyed Kids- and then cut a yellow boa for the feathers (hair) note:  Boa's are not meant to be cut, so unless you like lots and lots of little feathers around your house... use feathers instead!  Using TBBM2 I cut out the Fry box at 5-1/2" and put the chick on top using dimensionals.  I thought these would make great Easter goodie boxes!!  I made 8 of these little guys... Thoughts?

Lemon Heads

I needed a quick hostess gift, and it couldn't be any quicker than going out in your backyard and picking lemons off my lemon tree!  I bought a white gift bag from Michael's and cut two lemons from Simply Charmed and used some cute little Peachy Keen stamps on them and stuck them on the bag!  Pretty simple- huh?  I had been playing with my Flower Shoppe Cartridge and had made several little flowers so I thought I would stick a flower on one of them and add some "earrings" too!  A little glam can go a long way!!
