Teddy Bear Parade

Welcome to Tina Time!!

This week I am hosting my "beary" own Teddy Bear Parade!!  This is such a fun cartridge, that I wanted to share some of my favorites, although I think every little bear on this cartridge is adorable and I will be making all of them sometime in the near future.... but this week I am showing my far!!  Since my mom found this cartridge for me, I am dedicating this Parade to her... this week is for you, Mom...

Since it is New Years (Eve), I thought the New Year Bear was super cute!!  Every year I make a "box" or jar or something to save a little cash for up coming races and Expo's or maybe a new cartridge that I just have to have... and this year, I made a matchbox and placed the New Years Bear on top!

Isn't he cute???

Added bonus, a "Beary", Merry Christmas Bear I made to put on this darling box for my Hubby!  I put a pair of "Readers" in there, and I actually think he liked the box more... hahahahahaha....  (Not the best picture) but I flocked the fur...he was cut at 4"

Make sure to become a follower if you are not already, and leave a comment each day.  I will have several prizes I will be giving away this week...  Gift cards to Joann's and Michael's.

Lots of surprises ahead...

Merry Christmas!!

Merry Christmas everyone!!  I am sharing one last Christmas post this year... and then I will be saving up for my very own Teddy Bear Parade, beginning January 1st-7th!!  I promise it will be fun and I hope you all stop by...

I bought these cake carriers at the $ store... thinking they would make a great gift!  I was right!

Christmas is the prefect time to bake, and baking makes great neighbor gifts, and well... you guessed it! I will be using these carriers for delivering!
I cut the phrase "Merry Christmas" at 3-1/2 inches out of red vinyl and placed on the lid.  Added a pretty Christmas bow...Voila!  Simple!

I made my mom's Cinnamon Roll recipe, and they looks so delicious!  ( Yes, I had one too many...)  Who wouldn't want to get this dropped off at your front door??

Secret Santa gifts

We did a Secret Santa exchange at work this year, it was a ton of fun!!  I had the Best Secret Santa... but below are a few of the gifts I made for mine...
Each day we left a little something for our "Secret Santa."

I left mine a hand sanitizer one morning... this was so very easy to make!!!

Another day, I made a cute Christmas Cracker filled with hair ties and protein bar.  I cut this at fit to page and added pretty bows via the Bow-dabra at the ends.
And I made this darling coffee cup, cut at fit to page which makes it still very small... but it was perfect for some lip balm:
The other days, I left a wrapped gift, no Cricut!  Hahaha... It was fun and I think we will do it again next year!!

Teddy Bear Parade-coming soon

Just a little note:  The first week of January, I will be hosting my own Teddy Bear Parade!  You'll want to make sure to stop by each day to take a peek, as I will be offering a prize or two- to lucky blog followers!!   I can't wait!!

Hubby's Hat...

When I told my hubby that I was going to make him a hat, he told me there would be no way he would ever wear a stocking cap!!  After all, we live in AZ rarely a need for a winter like hat here... but he could have at least said he would wear one... right???

Well, once I finished the first couple hats, I showed him and he said he wanted one... WHAT???  He said he would put it in his golf bag for cold mornings... I took it as a compliment... so I made him one!  He better wear it least!!  Hahahahha

Gift Cards

This year I decided to get my staff iTunes cards for Christmas, and I thought I would make a Gift Card holder for them.  I love the little Elf on PPDU and had to make him again this year!  I cut him at 3-1/2" and added a little pompom for his hat!
Using Artiste cartridge I cut out the Gift Card hold at 4-3/4" and embossed using apparently the only Christmas folder I have, snowflakes and Voila!  Done... made 10 of these cute little Elves...

Knifty Knitter Hats

I have wanted to knit hats on the loom for sometime, and I was finally able to take a class at Jo Ann's.  Fairly easy to knit on the round looms, below are the first ones... the little pink ones with the "flower trim" is the one I made in class... the pink/white and Green/white ones I made on my own... not too bad for a first timer!!

Glass Block-Winter

I need to get less lights...
I really think the glass blocks are beautiful when all lit up and glowing!!!  I bought a couple of them at Hobby Lobby, and thought this time of year is perfect for something all lit up and a little bit festive too. I used Holly Jolly and cut the phrase at about 4x5  (Not sure the exact measurement, but I can get it if needed...) and transferred to the block!  I made a big Christmas bow for the top, and filled it with lights, and Voila!  A pretty Christmas decoration to "Warm" up the season...
Thanks for looking...

Teddy Bear Parade

Christmas came early!!!  My mom sent me this cartridge for Christmas, and of course, I opened it right up and started to play!!!  These bears are darling, and I plan to make each and every one of them, as they are adorable and I can find a reason to use them!!!
I have several cut out and done... so stay tuned for a Teddy Bear Parade in the near future!!

Business Card Holder

Easy as pie to put together... business card holder!  I loved the paper I used, but I think to make these as personalized gifts, I would use something a little plainer... but I cut this one a 7" and its the perfect size! Can't wait to sit this on my desk come Monday morning!!

Thanksgiving Recipe Box

Happy Thanksgiving... well almost!
Thanksgiving seems to be the one time of year, that we make some of our favorite dishes.  Some of my favorite dishes at Thanksgiving time is the poblano stuffing and pumpkin soup, my Hubby makes, and my all time favorite are the dinner rolls that my mother makes every year for Thanksgiving.  Every year I try to make them and for whatever reason, they never quite taste like the ones my mom baked...sometimes I wonder if she didn't leave out an ingredient or two...haahhahahaha... She says, its the altitude... wink, wink!!

Anyways, I thought this year, I would put all the recipes we use this Thanksgiving and put in a special box, so we can recreate our favorite dinner each year without having to dig through books, and loose paper each year.  I cut this using the TBBM2 sized at 8"  I loved the paper so much that I didn't think it needed too much more.

The smaller one I cut at 8" as the 1 piece, and the bigger box is cut also at 8" but used two pieces and put together... big difference... literally!  Haha

Movie Night

Found these cute cuts on Artiste and had to play a little... made the box as big as it would cut- fit to page- and then cut the embellishments to fit the box... I really wanted to use my new embossed folder, and it looked cute on the front and back of the box I thought...

Plan to use this as a gift... perhaps put movie tickets in it along with some goodies... although not many "goodies" fit inside... possibly a single bag of microwave popcorn!  But a fun gift for anyone!  Who doesn't like to go to the movies??

Running ribbon

I got a couple of packages of these darling pins from a Running Store, and thought I could make something with them, as no one really wears pins anymore... so I thought I would make this  rossette and make it fun! I will put a magnet on the back... and hang it on the fridge... I cut it at 1-1/2" x 2 and glued to together, added some curly ribbon and there you go!

Baby card

This was a cute cut on Artiste as well... a baby diaper as the envelope and then the "ruffled" card to fit inside.  Cut at 5-1/4.  I added some baby pin brads to the side and added a Prima flower in the middle.  I wished I had made the flower though, but I have so many of these it is nice to use them once in awhile...  Made this for a friend who is having a baby girl...

Glass Block

I am not sure being known as "crafty" at the office is a good thing!  I was asked to make a Trophy for the department that is the best decorated for Halloween.  This will be something that will be passed around year after year.  So this will sit in the winning department year around... I took on the challenge and well, it was the toughest project I ever made.  I guess because I was making it for my office and not myself... so I am not used to "showing-off my creations.  As simple as this one was to make, it was most difficult for many reasons...
I didn't want it to be "Halloween" themed since it would be sitting out all year long but needed enough Halloween tones to make it a Halloween trophy... yes, it was just that confusing!!!
Anyways, here it is...

Spider Web

So very simple and easy to make... I bought some gum and thought I would dress it up a bit in spirit of Halloween.

I cut white paper 4-1/4x 5-1/2 and ran through the cuttlebug using my spiderweb embossing folder.  Cut the spider form Happy Hauntings at 6" added a little splash of color using the Irock (not sure what that thing is called) and popped it on the cover.  Wrapped the cover around some Orbit Cinnamint gum...

What do you think

Saturday, October 20, 2012

It's the only time of year where you feel safe to "Boo" your team mate!!  Our Lin Lady High Performance Team "Boo-ed" each other for Halloween.  It's always fun to get a little something in the mail.  I filled a bag with Halloween goodies, socks, and a $5.00 Starbucks Gift Card.  The Topper was made by using the witch from EDPD's...I made her a year ago...finally got to use her!  Hahahahha

Halloween Birthday Treat

Using Wrap it Up, I thought I would make a cute box for a birthday treat.  I cut the box at 9" and it was very, very small... at least for the candy I bought to put in it!!  So I decided to put in a flame less candle and slip a Gift card along the back.  I loved the Halloween paper!!

Easy to make, but I think making it much bigger, would allow more room for birthday gift?  I hate to always give candy... I like to receive it, but I think more and more these days, we should try and stay away from always giving sugar to our friends and family.  I just simply don't know what else to ever give away... ideas are more than welcomed!!
Thanks for looking!!

Halloween Socks

I love Socks!  Maybe that is why I am sponsored by LIN Socks... although those are athletic socks!!  I bought these cute Halloween Socks at Target!  I thought these would make a cute Halloween treat!

I used various cartridges for the bag toppers, but I did make them to go along with each pair of socks so they would match!  I think they turned out pretty cute... what do you think?

Dracula's coffin

I just love Halloween, all the fun decorations!  I love the FUN stuff around Halloween...not just the candy!  Hahaha
I used Happy Hauntings and cut Dracula at 3-3/4" as well as the layers... and then used Artiste for the coffin cut at 6"... I embossed the coffin with a spider web... I think it adds dimension!  They were easy to make, but I don't suggest doing them all at once!  I made the little Dracula's on one day, and the coffin's another day...
I plan to fill them with candy... but a Gift card tucked in there would fit nicely too.  Thanks for looking!!
