12X 12 Gift Box

I saw theses boxes floating around on YouTube and thought I would give it a try!  So simple to make, I was genuinely surprised!  Another clever way to "wrap" up a gift!  I decided to make this one in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month-(I know its in October) but I am getting a head start!
My Mother is a breast cancer survivor of over 23 years!  She is healthy and well, and I am so very proud of her.  She is not one to dwell about it, she is glad its over and we all hope and pray that it never returns!

Using Stand and Salute for the Cause Ribbon and Gypsy Wanderings for the words, I put this together pretty quickly!  This box can hold a lot of little items. Hope you enjoy!

Button, Button, who wears Buttons?

I was given several buttons as part of a gift.  I don't wear a lot of "flair" so I wasn't sure quite what I would do with them... I couldn't just throw them out... so I thought I would make a "Thank You" card and give to the person that gave me the buttons in the first place!  I hope that isn't too tacky...but at least she will see I used them, and I did have fun making these cards!
I made Rosette Ribbons and put them on a card.  They were a little "front-heavy" so I also lined the inside of the card with white paper, and that seemed to balance the cards.  So next time, you get a button, don't throw it out, use it somehow...who knows what you will create?

Watches

Well, when my Mom and I get together, we always find something new to craft or make.  My mother is my biggest enabler.  She is one talented woman!  She has a way of making things and showing me, and then thousands of dollars later, I have to have all the latest gadgets, and equipment!  This past weekend was no exception!!  She taught me how to make a beaded watch band!  We had so much fun making them, and shopping for beads, although, my mom had about a zillion already, so we used hers to make most of these. We each made about 4-5 watches together and plan to make one in every color! I need to find a Bead shop as Jo Ann's and Michael's beads don't carry what I like or need!   Aren't they pretty?

Cup Coozies

My mom, and I got together this past weekend, and had fun crafting!  The one Cricut project we did, was playing with vinyl and creating this adorable Owl for our Soda Can Holders!  We bought the holders at Michael's for $1.00 and using Create a Critter we layered the owl on it to make this adorable one of a kind holder!  What do you think??

LIN Sock Sponsor Gift

I am headed to Utah for several days... to run a Marathon in Park City!!  It is lots of fun, because I get to see my mom and we get to spend time together before the race!  We party and eat and visit!!  Doesn't get better than that!!  Hooray for us!!
While I am in town, I am also going to meet up with my Sponsor- LIN Socks!  I am a Sponsored Athlete by LIN Socks and they are the best Socks I have ever run in... seriously!  I couldn't go empty handed, so I thought I would make something real quick!  I made a house from the Sweet Tooth Cartridge, and decorated it with small trains around the building, and using vinyl, I cut the words for the sign and door.  I find using vinyl for small letters is ideal!  The house was very easy to put together and I will be making plenty more of them as gifts!  I plan to put a bag of candy inside, and close with ribbon!  What do you think?  Cute?  Thanks for looking, I will post again when I return...crafting helps me recover faster... hahhaha!!!

Bikram Yoga bottle

I have been going to Bikram Yoga now for a couple of weeks, and love it!!  I signed up on a great special the Studio was having: $30.00 for 30 days... well, my 30 days is just about up, and I am not sure I can afford to go after that, as the prices increase to $$ 155.00 for an unlimited month!  Whew... that is expensive.
But I had a wonderful time there, the past 30 days, and I think it helped my running quite a bit!  So it was well worth it!  I decided to make my Yoga Instructor a parting gift... a water bottle similar to mine.  Hope she likes it, and I hope to return one day...with a lot more $$$   Hahahahha
Simple!!

TA-DA

From this

I am always in need of bag Clips, so when I saw these, I thought I could just re-do them a bit!  I took some white paint and went over the black wording already on them, and covered them with a white strip of vinyl and some red lettering...so easy!  Now wouldn't this be a great BBQ or Pot Luck gift for someone?  Take a bag of chips and personalize a Bag Clip for them?  Hmmm...
to this!

Back To School- Blog Hop!

Welcome to our Blog Hop-Beginning of School!!  Hope you are joining me from Jen's Blog...if not and would like to start from the beginning, please visit Kathryn's Blog, our Hostess for this Hop!  She puts in a lot of work organizing these Hops!!

First, I would like to tell each and every Teacher out there, Thanks for all you do!  It is a tough job!  My Mother is a retired Teacher- One of the Best!!

My favorite subject in school was reading and my least favorite subject was Arts and Crafts!!  (Hahahaha)  I think everyone can agree that lunchtime was everyone's favorite part of the day!!

My project fits in well with lunchtime... these are plastic sandwich holders that I bought at Walmart for $1.00.  They were plain and needed some vinyl to make them more inviting!  I used Hello Kitty and layered the vinyl- then placed on the sandwich holder.  How cute are these?  Just wash and re-use...saves money!

My HS Colors

Blog Candy:  $10.00 GC to JoAnn's- Just leave me a comment for your chance to win!!

Thanks for joining me today... come back tomorrow for Day 2 of our Blog Hop!  I have another project waiting for you!!  Now you are off to Lissa Marie's blog!

No Cricut Used...

Can you believe it???  I think this is the first non- cricut post I have done!!  Oh well, I had to show you!  I bought these headands at Michael's for $.79 for two... and I found the rhinestone stickers for a 1.00 and made my own cute sparkly headbands!!  Hooray for me!  They are cute, and if they fall apart after I wash them, well, I buy more stickers or throw away... I would have definitely gotten my $$$ worth!!
I could always use fabric paint...hmmmm....  Thanks for letting me share!

Coffee Gift

My LIN Lady High Performance Team is doing another Secret Swap with each other!  So I decided to make a coffee cup and fill it with Statrbucks Singles...I cut the coffee mug and  phrase Got Socks? out of vinyl!  I swear when I put the phrase on... it was straight..looks a little crooked to me in the picture... oh, well!  I also cut the "Rocker" from Rock Princess cartridge... I think she turned out kind of cute... I hope my Secret Lin Lady likes it!

Princess Party

Well, it is getting closer to our Princess Party!!  My mom and I get together once a year and have a party... this year we decided to have a theme- Guess what it is?  Hahahha... I have been making several party favors etc. for the party, and here is the last of it, unless I get really ambitious and make a few more things... but I thought we both should be wearing a crown, after all, we are two Princesses!!  I cut the crown from OUAP cartridge, and decorated them.  I also cut two strips of paper so we can made headbands when we get together....that way they will fit our heads!!

I also made us a couple of water bottle pouches for our Crystal Light and put a small crown on that as well. I think they turned out pretty, and will take pictures of us at our party...two weeks away!!  Hooray!!

Flip-Flop Finale

A huge Thank You to those that stopped by this week!  I hope you "flipped" more than you "flopped" this week!  Hahahhaha...

Using the last of my stash of FF (Flip-Flops) I made water bottle pouches!  Perfect for a summer picnic or party.  Very easy to make, and I slipped a packet of Crystal Light inside, but they also make Kool-Aid pouches as well... cute for the kiddos...but lots of sugar!  Hahahahaha...

Wanting to be done with FF week, I got lazy and made cards.  The FF's were cute, but the colors were very bright, and I couldn't figure out what else to do!  So here are a few more cards.  At least now, I will have some made for my mother's next card pack!  Hahahhahaha

I hope you will come back and visit my blog again!

Summer Cards

Well, I decided to start early on making card packs for my mother...she loves cards, and I really do not like to make them, but maybe if I just make them a little at a time, then it won't seem like such a chore to me! I thought these turned out darling, so I put them on cards... the paper matches the box I posted awhile back with another set of Flip-Flops!!!

"Flip-Floppin"

OK... are you tired of Flip-flops just yet???  No worries, I will be done with them this week!  It was fun to find creative ways to use them, but some of my creative ways are a little bit more like routine.  I once again used the Spring Holiday cartridge for the boxes...cut at fit to page... the largest I could get them.  It was fun to match different colors together...something I get very nervous to do!  Using PINK... no sweat...any other color???  Yikes!  But these turned out actually better than I thought!  What will I do with these boxes?  Well...not sure really!  Hahahhaha... these are nice to simply have on hand for that special occasion- who wouldn't like to get something like that as a gift...maybe put a GC in it, or a piece of handmade jewelry or something...no worries, I will use them!  Thanks as always for stopping by my blog today.  I would love it if you left me a comment...just to let me know you stopped by...

Book Marker

I have been wanting to try one of these for awhile...so hey, I have a "Flip-Flop" I could put on it, so I gave it a try!  The easiest thing I've ever made...I just wish the colors weren't so "funky"...but I will use it.  I know most people nowadays, have a Kindle or a Nook, or E- Reader of some kind...( I have a Kindle and I LOVE it), but I enjoy reading magazines too, and I now will have a way to "Flip" to the page I was reading!!!  Hahhaha...
Thanks for looking!!!

Back- perfect for a stamp sentiment...
