I've "Flipped" for Flip-Flops!!!

I made lots of Flip-flops all cut out of such "Beachy" paper at 3-1/4" and now I have no idea what to do with all of them!!!  Hahahha... ( Not a bad problem to have....)  So I decided to make a few things that I could put them to good use... so all week, be prepared to see Flip-Flops on my blog!!!
I loved making this wine tote, and using such summery colors, I thought it would make a perfect summer-time hostess gift!
I used the Pansy- MS punch which looks a lot like a Hibiscus...don't you think?

Handle- Hibiscus?

I am also adding this to a link over a Getting Cricky- check out her blog- it is one of my favorites!  She has darling stamp sets... that I need to get my hands on...SOON!!!

I have seen so many cute little Flip-Flop cuts lately, that I decided I needed to cut a few... so I did!  In fact I cut out quite a few of them, and had fun decorating them, but now I can't decide what to do with them!!!  So look for several posts with Flip-Flops!!!  I put a pair to use however, using Spring Holiday Cards, and made a quick box and put the Flip Flops on with demensionals... Enjoy!!!
I got carried away with my scoring... I did fix it! :)

Girly Cards

As many of you know, cards are not my favorite things to make, as I have a tough time visually putting them together in my head!  But, my mother loves cards so I decided to make her and my sister a packet of cards.  I debated on which "theme" if any, I was going to choose, and decided on making a card pack using cuts from Formal Occasion.  For some reason I started using purple paper and from there... I made everything a purplish idea why? ... But the cards turned out "girly" and I hope my mom and sister like them- envelopes included...Thanks for looking!!!

Cookie Box

Oh, this is one of my favorites too... this is a box that comes with 3 different lids to choose from... I loved the circle lid.  It has room to put 4 cupcakes in it, however, I decided to make it a cookie box instead.  it really would fit a dozen regular sized cookies in it, or 6 BIG cookies... or a small gift would like great inside as well... Perfect for a housewarming gift, or as a hostess gift!  Thanks for looking!!!

Happy Birthday Cake

Oh my goodness, this box was fun to make!  I cut it at 11 inches as suggested in book, and it came out plenty big!  You could almost fit 2 small cupcakes in there... I like the size, as it would make a perfect box for a gift, with no cupcake liner inside!  What a great way to "wrap" something up!  I used paper that has been sitting in my stash for quite sometime, so I whipped up the "recipe" Chocolate with caramel mousse filling!  YUMMY!!  It could use something on top, but since the paper I used was a little busy, I figured I could get away without anything.  But the possibilities are endless... I would really hate to see that go in the trash...( What I don't know doesn't hurt me...right?)  Thanks for checking out my blog this week!

Chinese Take-Out

Well, who doesn't like to take the leftovers from the Chinese restaurant, just so you can take home the little box!!  This box was one of the reasons, I HAD to have the Sweet Tooth Box Cartridge!!  OK, so I cut it at 11.25 as suggested in the book, and I thought it was a little BIG... perfect for a dozen cookies or some brownies or a small gift!  I can think of so many things and ideas and holiday's to use this box!
It was fairly easy to put together, and the score lines were plenty visible.  Maybe because I am used to cutting everything much, much smaller!!  Hahaha...  I looked for some wire to make a handle, but nothing sturdy enough, so I had a BIG paperclip, and I bent it some to make it curve the best I could...filled it with Dark Chocolate Hersey Kisses!  Thanks for stopping by...hope you are having a "sweet" week!!

Oooh...I thought this one was darling!  It really is just the top layer of the Ice Cream Cone... how easy is that?  I didn't put the Cupcake "tray" inside this one, as it was plenty big for other items.  However, the "tray" is so easy to make that I may change my mind...Hope you enjoy!!

Sweet Tooth Boxes

I have to say, that I LOVE this cartridge!  I love making boxes and 3D items...they are like putting puzzles together, and the end result is always something to have and to hold!  Hahahhaa...
This week I will be showing different "sweet" boxes that I have put together so far... they have been fun to make, and I can see making these for gifts going forward.  If you cut the boxes at the size suggested in the book, they are perfect for the regular sized cupcakes.  Any smaller and you would need to adjust sizing, but they would make great treat boxes nonetheless!  So, here we go...I hope you visit everyday this week!
Here is the first Sweet- Tooth Treat!  The Ice Cream Cone was cut at 9.5" and perfect sized for a cupcake or any treat you would want to put inside.  It stands pretty tall, and looks like an Iced Cream Cone!  Perfect for any gift- especially right now in the summertime... I used my Cuttlebug for embossing- looking back... I would have embossed the first layer too...but I got so carried away trying to figure out how it went together!!  Enjoy!!

Top off- plenty of room for a Cupcake!

Formal Occasion

Found a cut I really liked on that cartridge- of course, the Tennis shoe!  Hahahhaha!!!!  I thought it would make a cute card for a running friend!  I cut it at 5.25 and it came out very small... so now I will have to find something to make to put with it...dang!  :)  Enjoy your day!!  Get your " running shoes" on and go for a run or a walk!!

Have you eaten your Frog today?

I just love the expression... “If you have to eat a frog, don't look at it for too long.” -Mark Twain ...
Ever since I read that, I have asked myself that question every morning.  Basically, get the one thing out of the way that you dread the most!  The more you stare at the "FROG" the uglier and stinkier he gets!!!
I decided to make a card and put the frog in the pocket!  I used Stand and Salute for the pocket, even though I bought Freshly Picked just for the Pocket, but too lazy to link it to the G... cut the front out of "denim" paper and adhered to front of card.  Made a smaller "pocket" and using the frog from New Arrival- my favorite Frog, I popped him up with dimensionals.  The card opens up, but the "pocket" will read:  "Have you eaten your Frog today?"  It was cute when I thought it up in my head... Thanks for looking!!!

I decided to try Bikram Yoga again...I am training for a marathon, and I thought this type of Yoga would be ideal for stretching, and endurance... so of course, I had to go down and buy a new Yoga Mat and a Thermal Water bottle to take with me.  I couldn't take a "plain" old water bottle, had to dress it up a little!  That way, when I feel nausea from the heat, I will have something pleasant to look at...right? I made it very simple, as I don't want to stand out too much!!!   Oh well... Wish me luck!  BTW... I have 199 followers...anyone want to make it an even 200?  Hahahaha!!!
Thanks as always for stopping by...

Day Two- Summer Blog Hop

Welcome back!!!  You are joining me from Shannon's blog, I hope!!  If not, and want to start from the beginning, please check out Kathryn's blog, our wonderful hostess, as you don't want to miss her project and that way you can follow the hop and not miss a thing!!

My project is relatively easy today.  It is a Gift Card Holder!  Of course, who doesn't like Ice Cream in the Summertime???  So, I thought it would be a perfect gift for someone this time of year!  I used my Gypsy to create the "card" part.  Welded the Ice Cream Cone using Simply Charmed cartridge again, and then cut the layers.  Embossed them and used some stickles... and using dimensionals, I stuck the Ice Cream to the card.  Embossed the bottom.  It looked a little plain, but I didn't have a cute stamp or anything to put on it... so hopefully your eyes are drawn to the cone!!!  I also made a little tag to go with the Gift Card!!

Thanks for stopping by and visiting my blog today!  Your comments mean the world to me!!  By leaving me a comment, it makes you eligible in the drawing for a $10.00 Gift Card to either Jo Ann's or Michael's...your choice!!  Remember, to leave me a comment on both yesterday and today's posts!!  The Winner will be drawn on Monday.
Now you are off to Patricia's Blog!  Have fun and stay COOL this Summer!!

Summer Blog Hop

Hooray!  Welcome to my blog!!  So excited to share my Summer creations with you! Hopefully, you just visited Shannon's blog, if not and would like to start the Summer Blog Hop from the beginning, please visit our wonderful, Hostess, Kathryn's blog!  There are lots of fun and creative projects, and you don't want to miss them!!

Living in sunny AZ, it is like Summer year around for us...almost!  I thought I would make a Summer Kit to share with you.  I used Life's a Party, and cut the treasure chest at fit to page.  It cut it at 11.5 inches.  I embossed it using a new Cuttlebug folder, not sure the name, but looks like Divine Swirls...and then put the chest together with "red tape".  I only use the "red tape" for boxes, as I don't want them to fall apart!  I cut the Sun, using Simply Charmed and stuck him on the front with dimensionals.  I didn't like the way the chest closed, so I cut the tab off, and applied a little Velcro...much better!  I then wanted some handles, and I didn't have any matching ribbon... that I liked, so I got out my beads, and strung handles for them!  It had been awhile since I used beads... kind of fun!  Here is the finished project!  I plan to get some little trial sized lotions, lip balm, and sanitizer to go in them!
Hung outside
Another View- The sun is in his eyes!!
Peachy Keen Stamps were used...
Velcro- works great!
Side and inside view

Spa Gift Card

Hello everyone, I wanted to share a gift card I made for a friend!  She helped my Hubby get a plane ticket back East for a really good price- FREE!!!  Points from her CC!!  Hooray!  W e definitely wanted to say Thanks, so part of her gift was a Massage and I needed a card to go with it!
Using Paper Dolls, made the little "spa- girl" and had fun flocking the robe to make it fuzzy as well as her slippers and towel on her head!  That stuff is fun and very easy to use!!  Made a little tag to go with it!  Enjoy!

Don't forget to come and visit me Sat/Sun for the Summer Blog Hop!  It's a two day event!!

Running card

I saw a sign while out running, the "curved" road sign, I liked I thought I could make my own...sort of...
I cut the shape using George, and then welded the arrow using Graphically Speaking.  The runner is from Sports Mania.
I welded the shape together to form the card, and used the arrow again on the inside.  I really liked how it turned out..."There is no straight line- just follow your dreams!"  That's my interpretation of this card!  A nice reminder as I train for my Marathon!!  Thanks for stopping by...

Last minute gift

Headed out for lunch, and my hubby asked me to "dress-up" a little something that we were taking to a friend.  So with a little thought, I made a quick tote and using Life's a Beach cut the palm tree and fit the person we were giving it to, the Manager, at Tommy Bahama's Restaurant!
I forgot to take a picture of it, so I took one quickly with my iPhone in the parking lot!  Hahahaha  It is amazing how we can make something go from blah- to amazing in minutes!!  Thanks for looking!!

Happy Anniversary!!

July 4th is my wedding anniversary!  12 magical years with my hubby!
I made a card using Sweethearts cartridge, and it turned out kind of cute.  I welded the car together to make the card, and then added the layers.  Inside, I cut the champagne glasses and adhered with dimensionals.
Thanks for looking!!!
