Life is Good

Using the Wedding cartridge on blackout feature, I cut two pillow boxes and ran through the Cuttlebug.  I then used Graphically Speaking...rarely use that cartridge, but thought the phrase "Life is Good" fit what I needed.  I embossed the phrased and using dimensionals I stuck it on the box.  I had to cut the phrase twice, as I used the same paper and the phrase didn't stand out!!   DUH! So, I backed it with white paper.  There wasn't a shadow feature, so I just improvised...a little!   Inside, I put a packet of Jelly Foot Soak by Dr. Scholls... what Runner wouldn't want to use that... Sending it to my Secret Running Sister... thanks for looking!!

Lip Balm

Who doesn't need Lip Balm this time of year??  I know living in AZ, I wear sunscreen and lip balm probably everyday!  I made this for my "Secret Sista."  I cut the "K" from Storybook, I think that has about the prettiest font on it...this was very easy to make.  I have made these before, and  I will be making several more as they are great for small gifts this time of year.  Enjoy your day...

Coffee Gift Card

I saw this adorable gift card on, Crafting with Katie's blog and thought how clever... she has some of the cutest things on there... anyways, she used Christmas Cheer for her mug, and I didn't have that cartridge, so I used Everyday Pop-Up cards for my mug... but followed her design as much as I could!  It is close... and I love it... so I guess if I can impress myself, then that is all that matters!  Hhahaha... I cut the mug a little big... I think it is cut at 8"... could have been cut at probably 5-6" and would have been fine!
I plan to put a Starbucks gift card in the "steam" and give to my hairdresser for her birthday in July!  There is a Starbucks right around the corner near the salon... I get color on my hair and we walk over and get ourselves a cup!! hahahha...hey- it builds character walking around like that...I find it liberating!!
Thanks for looking!!

Sponsor Card

Our Ladies High Performance Team, has decided to make a card for our Sponsor to thank him for everything he does for us as a Team.  Lin Socks, Angelo, has been absolutely wonderful in supporting our team and always looking for ways to improve or enhance Lin Socks!  So 40 Ladies, will be sending him a "thank-you" card!  I thought I would make one... even though, I really do not like to make cards!  I made a "gate card" and cut the train and paper doll from EDPD cartridge and using my G added LIN SOCKS across the train... pretty basic, but I think he will like it!  Thanks for stopping by...

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Well, I tried using the Everyday Pop-Up Cards... this one wasn't too bad... I made the teapot with cup that pop's up when the card is opened. Kind of fun!   I really liked the colors blue and brown together.
This card was made with my Mother in mind, as she and I love to have tea parties together.  Even if we are just drinking Kool-aid and mini cupcakes!!  Hahahha... we still feel fancy!
Happy Birthday Mom... love you very much!!  Enjoy your Special Day!!

Secret "Sista" Stuff II

Gift #2- for my Secret Lin Ladies High Performance Team, Sister!  Again, I am trying to send something homemade to keep costs down and then send something BIG at the end of June, since we have a limit of $20.00.  I decided to make her a book for her racing bibs!  I made one for me awhile ago, since I didn't want to just throw them away, but what does one do with them anyways...?  So, I made this little binder to keep them in...I love mine.  Retail these go for $39.00...WHAT???  I made one for less than $.05...I hope she likes is her favorite color- GREEN.  Thanks for stopping by...

Secret "Sista" Stuff

I am honored to be a Sponsored Athlete, by Lin Socks.  I am a member of the Ladies High Performance Team!  I get to RUN and promote SOCKS!!!  How great is that?  There are about 40 of us spread out across the US.  We decided that since we don't really get a chance to get to know each other besides Facebook and cheering each other on virtually during races, we would do a "Secret LIN Sista" for the month of June!  ( I am getting ready early!)
So you will be seeing a couple of different things I am making... with a limit of $20.00 I need to be creative!  $20.00 doesn't buy much!! (Except postage!!!)
Here is Gift #1... I bought a 4X6 picture frame at Walmart, and using vinyl I cut the phrase," LIN Lady, proud moment."  It has a magnet on the back so she can hang it on her a reminder of her athletic accomplishments!  The card was made from Paisley... in the LIN Socks Team colors...what do you think?

Queen Bee

OK, so making Rosettes are addicting... I even bought the Martha Stewart Scoring board so I could score the 1/4" mark easier... I guess you will be seeing a few of these from me... so I hope you don't get bored with seeing them!
I made this one for my Mom, what will she do with it??  Not sure, but I know she will find a place for it somewhere... I cut the Bee's from Kate's ABC's  flocked the yellow on the bees, it actually looks and feels like a bee ( I haven't felt many bees... but this is what it would feel like...hahahahha) I used the hearts cuttlebug embossing folder for the "ribbon."   Anyways, put a metal pin on the back so it could be used as a badge of honor... "Queen Bee"  Thanks for stopping by...

Well, I felt like I was the luckiest gal in town yesterday!!  I won the Lottery- 26.2 miles-  Marathon that is tough to get in, so I was feeling pretty good about that, when later in the day, I got a phone call from the Mall- telling me I won a Gift Basket from my favorite Make-Up counter!  Bare Essentials!!!  Yippee!!  Did I have a good day or what!??
I wanted to take a little something to the Make-Up gals at the Mall... and inside my gift basket were two buttons- that I of course, would normally toss... but I thought...hmmm... the ladies at the counter might wear one... after all they are selling the Make-Up!  So, I got right busy and put the buttons on Ribbons!  Now, aren't these adorable??
I made Rosettes and hot glued the metal button to the Center.  I will get some "pins" to glue on the back so the ladies can wear them if they want...
I hope EVERYONE is LUCKY today!!  It feels great!  I rarely WIN ANYTHING!!!  So, yesterday I felt like a real WINNER!!! ( It doesn't take much to please me!!!)
Gift Basket!!
Do not know how to rotate the pictures...Sorry!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Ever make something, that you just know needs something, but can't determine what that "something' is?  I made this card with my Mother in mind.  She and I share a special love for Owls, so when I saw this image on Kate's ABC's, I knew I would have to cut it and make something for my Mother.  I tried an Easel card.  This was my first attempt with that style of card.  Pretty easy to make, but this card, just couldn't come together for me.  I didn't have ANYTHING to use for the bottom piece, so I used a bow...hmmm!  I found this great Cuttlebug folder at Joann's- "branches" so I came home and ripped the card apart and used the embossing folder and then stuck everything back on the front of the card...Now, I know my Mother will LOVE the card, since what Mother doesn't like something handmade from their child... but possibly, back when I was in the 1st grade, it was cute, I am not in the 1st grade anymore... Hahahahaha... It is in the mail, so nothing I can change about it now...Thanks for looking!

Blog Award

I have two followers that gave me a prestigious blog award!  Thank you very much, Jen and Stacy.  Check out both of their blogs for fantastic ideas and fun projects!  I really do have the best followers in the world!
There are rules, and I usually don't follow them, but I thought this time I would see if I could follow the directions:  Hahahaha...

Share 5 things Cricut related and share the Award with other people that have Cricut-tastic blogs too!  Whew!  Let's see if I can do this!

5 Things Cricut related about me:

1.  I have both the Original and Expression.
2.  I use my Cricut machine weekly.
3.  I have yet, to name my Cricut machines...not to say that I don't call it a name here and there... hahahha
4.  I was featured as a Spotlight Winner in the Cricut Chirp (Proud Moment)
5.  Met wonderful Cricut friends on the MB and Blogs.
Whew  That was a lot of work!

I would like to pass the award on to:
1.  Creative Hays Creations

"Poppy" Birthday!

Not a lot of bling for these, as they are for my Hubby's office.  Yes, I MAKE him take goodies to work for his birthday!  Hahaha... I bought the popcorn and was going to just wrap it and put the party hat on it.. but then I saw TX Scrapper Mom make a cover, using TBBM -matchbook!  I cut the matchbook cover using Real Size Dial On at 5.88  fit just right.  If you don't have a G, then cutting it at 5.75- 6" would be fine too. Depending on the popcorn bag!  Put the boxes together added ribbon and the Party Hat from Celebrations Cart stuck on with a dimensional!  Easy!!  So cute- for any occasion... since the guys at work just rip them apart, I didn't go to alot of work... but oh, the possibilities!!  Have a great day!!

Cinco De Mayo

It's also my Hubby's Birthday!!  Happy Birthday Vito!!
Using TBBM cartridge as well as Designer's Calendar for the phrase, made these cute little boxes and put M&M's inside.  I used MS Drippy Punch for the icing along the sides... my first "Cake,"  I couldn't do anything real fancy or "Girlie"... so here it is!  Enjoy your Day!!

Tiny "Boxer"

Using Life's a Party, I cut this box fit to page... now, this is a small box!  I am really not sure what you could put inside it, besides a pair of diamond earrings, diamond ring or Hershey's Kisses!  I probably will put in Hershey Kisses!  Hahahha
I also used Create a Critter for the Bug, I love that cute. This one is so tiny... I like the box idea, but not sure this would make my "go-to" box list!  What do you think?

Doctor's in the House

Well, this is probably a favorite of mine, since I love the Paper Doll Cartridge anyways!  You can never go wrong using that one!  My Step-Daughter had surgery this past weekend, a Pace Maker put in, ( she is only 26) but came through surgery no problems!!  Thank Goodness!
Thought I would send her a card to cheer her up a little!
For this card, I used the Doctor from EDPD, and the Band-aid was from Everyday Pop Up Cards.  The Doctors bag was cut from Forever Young- the duffel bag cut at 3/4".  Very small to work with, but added that extra something to the card!   It was my first time making an easel card that I have seen all over the Internet, so I am pretty proud of myself!  Hahahaha!!  Thanks for stopping by...
