Thanks Mom!

I bought Kate's ABC's last week, for no reason at all!  Got it home, and oh, what a delightful cartridge it is! So Girly!  I am a bit of a "girly-girl" so I fell in love with each and every cut!  You will be seeing a lot from this cartridge for a bit-
My mom bought me a Kindle for my birthday which is right around the corner!  Oh, what a delightful and surprising gift that was for me!  Like she, I love to read!  So, of course, I needed to send her a "Thank You" card right away!!  This one was perfect!  Thanks Mom!  This card is in the mail to you!

Award for me??

Thank You Ricketts Cricuts!!  What a thoughtful award!  The Liebster Blog award is given to bring newer blogs into the light. It's a great way to share blogs that might not otherwise have been noticed and should be!

As recipient you must share the love and pass it along to others.  As well as these four things:
1. You must post on your blog and tell a little about the award and announce your 3-5 picks.
2. Let those know you have chosen them.
3. Copy and post the award on your blog for all to see.

I have chosen to pass this award on to these amazing blogs!  So much talent!  Check them out!!

TP Roll Quote Book

OK... so now I am able to cross off something else on my "to-do" list!  The TP Roll booklet!  Hahahaha  I have seen so many of these darling books, and one would never guess from looking at them, that they were made out of TP rolls!
I was able to save 4 of them, to give this a try!  I kind of went blindly as the tutorials on line were quick and too many details for me.  So, I did my own sort of thing- turned out kind of cute!  I misted (water sprayed) the rolls and then flattened them in the Cuttlebug, and placed in between books of paper with my BIA paperweight on top!  I used  Rock Princess for the phrases, as the cuts I wanted to do were just way to small to layer and look good!
I wasn't going for the "rock" look or feel to this book, but it worked.  I covered the rolls in white paper and then used Modge Podge (1 coat) to make it a little more durable.
I cut the tags using TBBM.  I plan to print out some running quotes that motivate me and stick on the tags! What do you think?

Piano Box

I had to make one more box, using Spring Designs.  I cut it "fit-to page" and then using Twinkle Toes I cut the piano.  Once, it was put together it turned out quite pretty- although, I am not fond of the Piano cut, and I really don't like Twinkle Toes at all.  I already linked to the G!  UGH!  Oh well...I am sure I will find a use for it down the road...never know!
I plan to give this box to my Mother.  She is the best Piano Player I I just need to find some cute stuff to put in the box!  Enjoy your day!

Boxes are my favorite things...

I couldn't wait to play with the boxes on this cartridge- Spring Designs.  I cut the two boxes at fit to page- the biggest I could get them using the Gypsy.  They came out pretty big... I was surprised!  I cut them using purple... I have no idea why, as I like the color purple, it is just hard to find something cute to embellish it with, as I prefer PINK!  But then, just about everything I make is PINK, and I plan to give these away as gifts.
I used Gypsy Wanderings for the phrase: Thinking of You, and Create a Critter for the Skunk!  I think she turned out cute... but I used the wrong face stamp, so she looks like a Chipmunk... but, I am sure you didn't notice until I mentioned it...right?  Hahaha
Thanks for looking!

I love looking at different blogs, as you never know when you may stumble upon a little treasure!  I sure did!  I found Kassidy's blog by chance.. and she had the cutest little project on there along with a great tutorial for the Lip Balm holders... now, how cute are these!
Very easy to make, and what wonderful little gifts or party favors these would make for any occasion!  I made a couple and the hardest part for me was finding a 3/4" circle punch!!  Hahaha- I finally found one!  Whew!

Coffee Time

I have been wanting to make a door hanger for some time now.  I am trying to get some of the projects on my "to do list" done, and this was one of them.  I figured that this would be an all day process, but the paper I used was thick enough, that I didn't have to use Modge Podge. (Which I am not good at...I seem to wrinkle all my paper when I use this stuff... I need a class or something!)  I used TBBM cartridge, for the door hanger and box, and then used Smiley Cards for the cup and Just Because Cards for the phrase.  I really didn't have a plan when I started this one, so I am glad it turned out half as well as I had thought!  I liked the color brown, and went from there.  Since I put  box on there I figured I would get a Gift card, and even though Chocolate Chip cookies would have been delightful, I really couldn't see fitting many cookies in that little box!  So coffee it is... But just think of all the ways you could dress this hanger!  Any holiday or special occasion.  I thought I would give this to my Hubby as a treat one morning...or a friend- my friend would probably appreciate it more... we'll see!  Always nice to have things like this around as a last minute surprise gift!!

Sunny Days ahead...

I saw the cutest tutorial done on "gate-cards" from "She's a Sassy Lady" that I just had to give it a try!  Using the sun from Simply Charmed, I got right busy and made my own!  I love the color yellow, right now, so bright, and crisp!  I made the card using my Gypsy and welded the sun to the card.  I then cut out another sun to add a little bit of color and dimension!  Using Peachy Keen stamps for the face!  What do you think?  This should certainly cheer someone up that lives in say... a colder part of the US?

Super Bowl Blog Hop

Welcome!  You made it here from TX Scrapper Mom's blog!  Super fun stuff over there!

My favorite part of the Superbowl is the commercials and advertising... so in the "spirit" of the Superbowl, I thought I would "advertise" my favorite sport!! Hahaha ( This IS NOT a paid announcement!)

My "sport" project is a little different!  Hahaha... As many of you may or may not know, I am a runner!  I have a passion for running and one can't run without a good pair of comfortable socks!  I am lucky enough to be sponsored by LIN Socks!  I am part of a Ladies High Performance Team, that runs, bikes and swims all while promoting socks! Our Sponsor always references "The LIN Lady Train"!

So, I  modeled my project after the "train"/trailer that LIN Socks takes to Expos and displays their Socks.  Using EPDU cartridge, I cut the train, car, and caboose, as well as the Paper dolls- faces- Peach Keen... I thought they would look cute sitting in the windows... The "middle car" has racks of "socks" that I hand cut... can't you tell?  Hahaha... but they look enough like socks!  Hahahaha... I introduce to you the
"LIN Lady Express Train"!   (I will fill with Snickers and send to my Sponsor for fun!)

Now, back to your regularly scheduled blog hop,Ms Dee - Dee's Special Things, if you want to start from the beginning- go here!
Blog candy, of course!  Please leave me a comment to be entered into the random drawing of a $10.00 GC at Michael's, and a pair of LIN Socks! ( Winner will be announced Feb 8th)

When you are done blog hopping- run, hike, bike on over to LIN Socks and check out socks for the Athlete in your family!  Tell them Tina sent you... (I am not paid by LIN Socks, I just love socks!!)  :)

Spring Blog Hop

Welcome from All Things Crafty !  I love Spring!  I love the feel of everything being so fresh and new!  However, springtime in AZ means- Snakes, lizards and scorpions!  Hahaha... but there aren't any on my blog today!  :)
I struggled with this theme a little, as there are so many wonderful things about Spring it was hard to choose what to do!
I used CAC and Simply Charmed cricut cartridges for this project.  I fell in love with the "Bug" on Simply Charmed and that got my project started.  The bird, butterfly and worm were cut using CAC.   I made note cards measuring 4x4 and placed them in a box that I made from this tutorial from Splitcoasters.  Very easy to make!  The cards fit perfectly in there and I plan to give this to my Mother so she can send me notes!  Hahaha-  Simple project and would make a perfect housewarming or hostess gift for anytime of year!

Thanks for stopping by... I am also participating in a Superbowl blog hop tomorrow!  It will blow your "SOCKS" off!  ( It really won't... but the pun was intended and it sounded fun to say!)

Now, you are off to, So Many Crafts, So Little Time.  If you want to start from the beginning please go to Creations with Kathryn!  Hope you will visit again tomorrow!

Valentine Candy Bar's

Decided to go simple for Valentines this year for my Hubby's office!  It's all about the candy and I spend way too much time creating when I know the wrappers are ripped off thrown in the garbage and forgotten about, but because I enjoy making things, I do it anyways?  Don't we all do that?
I cut paper 5 1/2 x 5 3/4- embossed using the hearts folder and then wrapped around a Hershey's candy bar- fits perfectly!  I cut the BUG from Simply Charmed and popped it with a dimensional and there you have it!  A perfect way to dress up a chocolate bar!
I couldn't get this to rotate...Sorry!

Baby- It's a Girl

I made this for a friend of mine who had a baby girl!  It is simple, as I didn't have loads of time!  I attached pink bubblegum "cigars" to the sticks- since I didn't have time to paint them, and threw in "Peanut" M&M's since that is what the baby up til now has been named...hahaha!

Join me this weekend here, as I am participating in two Blog Hops!!  Whew!  Saturday (Think Spring) and Sunday ( Superbowl)!  Blog Hops are a lot of fun!  I so enjoy going and looking at every one's blogs!  So many creative and talented ladies/gents out there!  I used to save blogs as favorites but since that clutters up my favorites- I have now decided to "follow" them so I can "Blog Hop" whenever I want!  Hope to see you this weekend!
