Bride and Groom Boxes

Since I bought this cartridge, Tying the Knot, I have been wanting to make these boxes... so I happend by the cartridge and thought, now would be a perfect time!  They were very easy to put together, but I wouldn't want to make these for a Wedding Party, unless you were just making a few!  Time consuming!  But, they would be great for a birthday, prom, or special occasion type of get together!
I cut these at 9" and not a lot fit in them... but maybe some Kisses or lip gloss?
I have a couple of friends getting married this year, so maybe I will save them and use a "topper" on a gift!

Happy New Years!

I didn't get a chance to play much for Christmas... so I thought I would start the New Year off right, with a little something for me!  hahahha
Most of you know I run for fun... and the registration fees for races are very expensive!  Almost as expensive as Cricut!  I thought that for the upcoming year, I would try and save a little $$ for race registration fees for the next year!  I love the thought of banks, but they can be a little intimidating, when you walk past and don't see alot of $$ inside... so I thought of something I could tuck in a drawer for safe keeping!!
Using, Celebrate with Flourish,  TBBM, and Don Juan, I put together this little matchbox.  It will fit nice in my drawer, and hopefully, at this time next year, I will have enough $$ to register for some additional races!!  Hooray!!

Mittens

I am back!!!  So sorry I have been MIA...I, myself hate to go to blogs and see the same there over a month!! So my apologies!  I have been so very busy...haven't had tome to play in my craft room!  Thanks Jean, for checking in on me...how thoughtful!
I did have to make some last minute Christmas cards and things, so I made some time to "play" a little bit!! Hahhaha
In a hurry, I put together cards shaped like mittens from the Design Calendar cartridge.  I cut them at 5.50 and welded them together and then cut the layer at 5.25.  Added some faux fur and some bling and there you have it!  Just the right size for a gift card!!
Thanks for stopping by...

Gobble Gobble

Welcome to the Gobble till you Wobble Blog Hop!  This Hop is hosted by one of my favorite Blogs,
Jeans Crafty Corner!  If you just came from Jean's Blog you are in the right place!!  If not, please visit her site as she always has something fun to share!!
Thanksgiving is a wonderful holiday, you can eat and eat without the guilt...since that is what everyone does on Thanksgiving!  Hahahaha   Growing up, my Mother always cooked Thanksgiving dinner, and made it very traditional, from the nut cups, to turkey to Pumpkin Pie!!  She always had a way of making our holidays festive!!
I thought this year, since I will be hosting Thanksgiving Dinner, I would try and make something cute for our guests.  I cut out a traditional turkey from Celebrate with Flourish, using dimensional popped them on a little white bags I purchased at Michael's.  Stuck a bow on top and VOILA!  Very easy!  I will put a little bag of mixed nuts and mints inside...

Your next stop is Rhonda...Thanks for joining us!!  Keep Gobbling till you Wobble!!  Hahahaha

So Grateful

I am grateful for so many things...Thanksgiving is just another reminder!  Thanksgiving seems to get swept up in the Holiday's as we are already shopping and crafting for Christmas!
Using Gypsy Wanderings, I cut out the phrase and layer for the card.  Pretty simple and basic, but to the point, don't you think?
Thanks for looking...

Happy Halloween!

It has been a week since I posted last...SORRY!!  I will get busy!  I made cupcakes for my Hubby's work and thought I would share, even though it is not Cricut/craft related!  Hahaha- Although, not everything has to be made with the Cricut...right?
Have a great week...come and visit as I will get a few things posted soon!!

Spooky Wine Tote

These are so quick and easy to whip up in no time...especially, when your Hubby tells you we have a party to go to this weekend...what?  Hahahhaha... so since we will be bringing a bottle of wine, I thought I would make a wine tote with a Halloween theme!
I used Happy Hauntings for the tombstone and ghosts.  The Tombstone is cut at 4" and the Ghosts were cut at 1-3/4"  I used my "Boo" punch and spiderweb corner punch by MS...Voila!  Easy and somewhat festive given the small window to create!!

Runner Freezer Tee

OK, I have been wanting to do another Freezer Paper T-shirt for a long time, and I found a few Tee's I bought many months ago... so I thought I would try something rather easy!!!  I used the Sports cartridge and cut the border of girl runners...painted it black and VOILA!!!  EASY!!!  I really want to venture out and try some different layers/colors.
I would like to buy a couple of actual running shirts and put my own design on them...but need lots of practice...these shirts were cheap!!!
Thanks for looking!!!

Cupcake Wrappers

What a darling cartridge, that is if you can figure out all the measurements!!!  My mom let me borrow her Cupcake Wrapper cartridge for a bit and I love it!  So many adorable designs on it...I cut out the Witch Cupcake Wrapper at 2" which was indeed, just big enough for a Sock Cupcake!!
The wrappers are smaller than the one I normally make using the Easter cartridge, but this one is awesome!!!  Thanks Mom, you may not ever get this one back.... hahahahhaha
My SIL is staying with us for a couple of days, so I thought I would make her a Sock Cupcake- we will be doing lots of walking!  I cut the base in black and the layer in orange for the contrast...turned out kind of cute!!

Witches Brew

This EASY project turned into a whole days work!  I wanted to make a "Thank you" for a friend and I needed just a "little" something to go with it, so I thought, he drinks Root Beer, and I will decorate some Root Beer Bottles!  When did they stop making Root Beer in a Bottle??  Well, I found some plastic bottles and thought that should work just fine!
Now, I needed to decorate them a bit.  I used Happy Hauntings and cut the "frames" out at 3"...now these frames are very intricate and at 3" it was...well work!  Hahahahha... I was trying real hard to keep a positive attitude throughout this process...Once, I got them all put together, I cut orange paper to go around the bottle, and then using dimensionals I stuck the frames to the bottle.  Using plastic spiders-duh- I cut the tabs off them ( they were rings) and then using Hot Glue stuck them to the bottles as well, praying that the HOT glue wouldn't melt the plastic bottles!!!   Putting the plastic holder back on the bottles was a whole different story...so, then I got out my Bowdabra (sp?) that I use everyday- NOT... and tried to make a bow.  It turned out fluffy, and that was just perfect...A man doesn't need a dang bow anyway!!!  Here's the final product...lots of pictures!!  Now, I need a drink... a real one!!  Hahhahahaha

Intricate framework! hahahha

Drac's House

My project today is a gift box that I plan to fill with goodies and give to my Hubby!  I used Happy Hauntings for the coffin and Dracula...I lined the inside with some spider paper...this was so very simple to make and it is pretty good sized, so I will now have to find BIGGER stuff to put in it!  I cut it at Fit to page- so it could be made much smaller for SMALLER treats!!  Hope you like it...

Thanks as always for stopping by and leaving such wonderful comments!  I truly do read them all and feel so lucky to have fellow crafters leave a kind comment...Don't forget I have BLOG Candy to hand out to one lucky person...you must leave a comment on yesterday's and today's posts to be eligible.  I will be drawing one name for a $10.00 Gift Card to Michael's or Jo Ann's-your choice!

Haunted House-Blog Hop

Welcome to my Haunted Blog.... I hope you found your way here by way of Nicolette's Blog and if not, and you want to start from the very beginning, please go to Kathryn's Blog!  She is our Hostess, and does a wonderful job organizing these Hops!!
My favorite holiday is Halloween!  I love the decorations and the candy!!!  I am not one for all the gore, and guts and evil stuff...I like the cuteness, and the Trick O' Treaters!!

My project is using one of my favorite cartridges, Sweet Treat Boxes... I cut the house at 10" and then using Happy Hauntings, I cut the skeleton, pumpkins, spiders, bats, and cat.  I really had fun making this one...I used Acetate paper for the windows and embossed it with the Spider's web folder...so when lit up, it would give it a different look.  The best part is that is is a "Haunted House" so it doesn't have to look PERFECT!!!  Whew!!!
Hope you enjoy...

"Carried-Away" with bling

It's my Father-in-laws birthday next week, so I best get a card in the mail.  He is one that so appreciates my little cards and crafts that I send to him, it makes me feel guilty that I don't send him enough!  I really do not like making cards, since I am not that "gifted" in the card area.  I wanted to make something "man-ly" so I looked through half a million carts and this is what I came up with for him!  I used Everyday Pop-up cards, and I wanted to do a shape card...I have such fantastic ideas in my head, and they never really pan out...so I used lots of bling, and there you go!  One thing for sure, he will LOVE it... and he always makes a point to call me and tell me so...that means the WORLD to me!  (Even, though I know some of the cards are not that great!!)
As always, thanks for stopping by... make sure to visit this weekend, as I will be doing a Halloween Blog Hop with some Blog Candy!!!

Hello Kitty

I just loved this Halloween card on this cartridge, and thought these would be perfect to send to my Mom and sister!  I cut the card at 5-1/2" and layered it.  Used stickles and iRock to embellish a little.  They turned out kind of cute!  They were very simple to make... my kind of card making!!!
What do you think?

Day Planner

I know I am the only one that still uses a Day Planner.  I have an iPhone that I can store dates and appointments, as well as Apps to make all kinds of lists...even dictation so I don't have to type anything... but oh, how I love the thrill of crossing off completed items (yes, there is an App for that too...) and reflecting on previous months and accomplishments...

I have had my Day Planner for many years and just refill it... so the cover is old (5 years) but since they are phasing out these "historic" books, I don't want to spend the $$ and buy new!!  So I will "dress"it up a bit... using vinyl and Rock Princess, I cut her and the layers at 4 inches and stuck her on my Day Planner...kind of silly...huh?

"Owl"-mine!

I love vinyl...oh, you already knew that!  I LOVE my Kindle... so I thought I had better personalize it a bit!  I love Owls... and this one is so cute and easy to make!  It is from CAC... and I cut it a little bigger than I wanted to at 3"...but I made her fit!  Doesn't she look pretty?  I don't think I will get mine mixed up with anyone else...
As always, thanks for stopping by...

Halloween Cheers!

I found these "cozy's" at Michael's for $1.00 and thought they would make great Halloween Drink holders...lucky here in AZ, we have warm temperatures for the little Trick O' Treaters, so usually the neighbors all sit outside on our front driveway's and pass out candy!  So of course, passing out candy can make one thirsty... so I figured I would need something cute to hold my drink in... hahhaha

I used Celebrate with Flourish (lite) and cut out this adorable witch in vinyl and adhered to the "cozy!"
Cheers!!

Birthday Card

OK... this was made for a friend who is a Dr. in Biology.  Not a favorite subject of mine as I never liked the whole Frog thing... but, I had an idea in my mind and it was cute... the card???  Not so much!  Hahahhaha
I used EDPD and made the Chemist... I think he was darling but I wanted to use hair for a girl... so it didn't have the same effect!  I made a gate card, as I thought it would be something a little different...I am putting this in the mail quickly, so I don't have to look at it again...

Check out one of my favorite card making blogs, A Day in the Life of Horse Bunny!  So many cute, cute cards!!!

Peanuts Cards

Now, I am probably the only one that doesn't like the cartoon Peanuts....Sure, I love the Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin and the Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree...but I never understood the characters, and a dog that never talks!!  Lucy was my favorite character as I felt sorry for Charlie Brown, and I love Peppermint Patties...oh, wait...that is a candy bar...right?  Oh well... I found these buttons at Michael's on clearance and liked the Snoopy one... so I bought them and thought I could make a great cheery card..or three?  There was a fourth button, but I didn't understand what the point of it was... so I probably threw it away...or at least I should...
I made rosettes...(what's new???)  and I adhered the button on them using my glue gun.... They turned out OK... I will use them at some point in time... just wanted to share!

Pumpkin Hand Sanitizers

I mentioned that I bought enough Hand Sanitizers from Bath and Body Works to make more of these... so I figured I would get them done...I didn't want "spooky" Halloween hand sanitizers left AFTER Halloween... what it s the fun in giving it to someone then???  Hahhaha
Anyways, I used the pumpkin from Gypsy Wanderings... it had a cute face, and I punched out a yellow circle to put behind the face so it looked like it was "lit-up!"  Turned out cute...right?
Thanks for looking!!!

Lady Bug Box

OK, so I just had to show you one more cute little card box.  This one was fun to make as I love the colors of a Ladybug.  I decided to make it a little more uniform as all the cards and the front of the box match.  I have to say that it was a little easier to make that way.
I used the darling Ladybug from CAC and the grass stem/branch from that cartridge as well.  Added a little bling and Voila!  Easy enough!
As always, thanks for stopping by, and leaving such kind comments!  Really, I have some of the most thoughtful followers ever... maybe it's about time to do another " Follower Appreciation Week!!"

Drawer Box

I have to say, this was one of the most fun projects I have done!  It really took no time at all to make, except for the cards- Hahaha
I saw this box on Splitcoasters, and thought what a darling way to give a set of cards to someone.  My mom loves to get cards that I make...(so she says...) and I usually clump them in an oversized cello bag and put a topper on it...which has been OK...but oh, look how cute this is... Not only could you use this for cards, but a small gift, or something they could use after they have mailed all the cards.  Just a cute little drawer...can't wait to make more as gifts!
I used OUAP cartridge for the Frog and Princessess.  Click HERE for the intstructions for making the drawer.  Thanks for looking, and as always, thanks for leaving a comment!
